We are not classed as an organic nursery, but we do not apply any pesticides or chemicals and we strive to keep our plants in good health by using only natural fertilizers eg, a liquid annual drench produced from either seaweed, comfrey or nettle leaves, or worm compost. A combination of our own compost and the handy bi-product of having chickens nearby, provides a beneficial mulch in winter.

Primarily, we are a mail order nursery but we attend a number of local shows and plant fairs, from spring through to autumn and these are listed on our ‘Diary of Events’ page. We very much enjoy meeting and talking to like-minded enthusiasts and it’s always a pleasure to introduce new people to the vast and previously unknown varieties that are available today. Swapping notes, listening to experienced gardeners and answering the queries of interested admirers makes it a very special time for us and it is always a very enjoyable, social event.
Although we are not open to the public at present, we are planning to open on the weekends later this year and also have a number of open days during July - the dates will be displayed on our events page nearer the time.
